The Central and East European International Studies Association (CEEISA) is a regional organisation. Its main aims are to enable meetings and exchange of research results of researchers from Central and Eastern Europe and to enhance co-operation within the region so as to secure a more tangible IR output to the global scientific community. Among others, it also encourages co-operation with other regional institutions and promotes networking between Central and East European scholars with their West European and American colleagues.

The association organises international conferences. The last conference was held in Belgrade in 2019.

CEEISA is an individual-based open membership professional organisation which was established in 1996 to create a network of researchers in Central and Eastern Europe in the field of international studies and thus support the development of this field and the individual professional development of its members. In this respect, it has already created an impressive network of researchers from the region or those interested in Central and Eastern Europe.

CEEISA is a member of the World International Studies Committee (WISC).

CEEISA is a Partner Organization of the International Studies Association (ISA).
