Marcin Grabowski is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Political Science and International Relations of the Jagiellonian University of Krakow. Prof. Grabowski has graduated in International Relations from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. He studied at Columbia University in the City of New York (School of International and Public Affairs), George Washington University in Washington (Sigur Center for Asian Studies), and University of California, San Diego (School of International Relations and Pacific Studies), where he has completed the Global Leadership Institute program. He is actively engaged in the activities of international and national research associations (being e.g. a Treasurer of the European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes – EADI and a Chair of the Global International Relations Section of the International Studies Association – GIR-ISA), and broad international cooperation projects. His research focuses on the problems of the Asia-Pacific region (especially on regional economic integration), foreign policy of China and the United States, theories of international relations, complexity science, as well as international economics.
