The Post-Yugoslav Section
The Post-Yugoslav Section (“Post-Yu”) is dedicated to fostering individual and institutional research and teaching collaboration between international studies academia in the post-Yugoslav spaces, broadly conceived, with a special emphasis on quality university teaching and independent research excellence. The Post-Yu section shall actively seek to bring teachers and researchers together in a cooperative effort to enable and strengthen scholarly links, first within CEEISA and second with a wider European and world academia. The section promotes the teaching and research of post-Yugoslav-related international issues in an interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, and transdisciplinary manner.
Membership in the Post-Yu section is open to all CEEISA members in good standing who express a desire to be a member and participate in the work of the Post-Yu section:
No disciplinary or geographic restrictions on membership are imposed
No dues are levied toward members for the first year of the Post-Yu’s existence or until reaching a total membership of 20 members (then, the Executive Council will set a membership due not greater than 20% of the CEEISA membership fee)
All members in good standing have equal rights and privileges

Each officer serves a two-year term, renewable only once. The chairs consult each other on all matters concerning this section. The chairs are responsible for the Post-Yu section policies and programmes, in close collaboration with each other and the secretary. They are responsible for fundraising activities. They preside over business meetings and prepare an annual report. The chairs also nominate the chair-elect and the secretary. The secretary is responsible for organising this section’s business meeting, taking minutes during the meetings and overseeing all votes, including elections.
